Places to Visit

There are heaps of things to do in Golden bay and here are just a few ideas:

Take a trip to Farewell Spit to see the lighthouse (now automated), slide down the
sand dunes and ....

Take a trip to Westhaven, to the end of the road and beyond if you have a 4 wheel
drive vehicle and the Anatoki river is passable!

Visit the animals at Bencari Farm - it is next door to the Anatoki salmon farm. Here
you can see a range of animals and feed the eels (if that tickles your fancy)

Visit the Pupu (Waikoropupu) Springs, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, and be amazed
at the huge volumes of water that just bubble out of the ground and is said to be about 100
years old
