Groceries
What about groceries I hear you ask. Well there are plenty of opportunities along the way -
Nelson, Stoke, Richmond and Motueka have plenty of good supermarkets. However there is
also a well stocked supermaket in Takaka on the right just as you come into the Takaka village.

There is a small store at Pohara, but sometimes the supplies are a little on the lean side.

During the summer there are also a number of small roadside stalls providing fruit and veges.

Alternative transport
If you prefer to helicopter over, there are several options and the views are spectacular across
the Abel Tasman National Park, Golden Beaches and regenerating native bush. Check out some
of these options: Tasman Helicopters, Nelson Helicopters, or Coast To Coast Helicopters Ltd - Contact: Andy Brown. Address: 120 Higgs Rd Mapua. Phone number: 0-3-540 2546
.

Now you have arrived - make yourselves at home and have a wonderful time!
If you are from out of town (Nelson) there are plenty of flights into Nelson airport. Nelson is New Zealand's fourth busiest commercial airport. Air New Zealand and Sounds Air provide flights into Nelson. You can always try one of Air NZ's grab a seat.

All the national car hire companies operate from Nelson Airport. Otherwise check with Anne or Devon about other options.

It will take you about 2 hours to drive from the airport to Beulah Beach Haven. Along the way you will see some stunning scenery so you probably won't want to travel fast.

From Nelson, head to Richmond and follow state highway 60 to Motueka. If you want to stop off on the way, Mapua is a lovely spot to check out. There's some good food and coffee at the Naked Bun in the small Mapua village, browse through the shop next door, Tessa Maes for that little gift or spoil yourself, then go on to the old Port where you will find more restaurants and shops with local art and other delights.

Whoops - we got side tracked, now onto Motueka ...

Travel through Motueka on SH60 and over the Takaka Hill (check out the views and Harwoods Hole) then go on to the Takaka township. At the entrance to Takaka take a right turn at the Telegraph Hotel and follow the signs to Pohara. Don't stop there, just keep going around the waterfront, past the Tarakohe Marina, the Abel Tasman Memorial, Ligar Bay and the next one is Tata Beach. Take a left turn into Tata Beach and left again into Peninsula Road. Beulah Beach Haven is No. 20 on the right about 9 houses down with a white gate.
